CHITTENDEN COUNTY STATS ARE RUNNING CLOSE TO LAST YEARS STATS.
Since January 1st of 2010, to the end of August, we have averaged roughly the same amount of home sales as the same time period last year.
Through August 24th, 2010, home and condo sales totaled 859 in Chittenden county.
Last year during the same time frame, 825 homes and condos sold.
The ending list price for solds for this year was $291,616. Average sales price this year for those was $280,631. This is approximately 96% of sale price to list price.
Average time on the market to contract was 139 days.
In 2009, the average ending list price was $290,585 and average sale price was $279,925.
This is again 96% of sales price to last listing price.
The average time on the market in 2009, for this time period was 138 days.
This would seem to mean that we are fairly stable and are moving at a steady pace for home sales.
We, as usual, don't seem to be following the national trends.
